Education System
The Philippine education system isn’t as nationalistic as it’s supposed to be. First of all the medium that it’s being taught in is primarily English then secondarily ‘Tagalog’. But look at Japan; it uses ‘Nihonggo’ as it’s medium of instruction in everything. If you go to Japan you would find that only a few people speak English there. As we prioritize English as our primary medium of instruction we experience foreign emotions rather than Filipino emotions. For example, graduation ceremonies are recited in English. Signs would have English warnings or notices and a ‘Tagalog’ translation under it. It’s as if that if you know how to speak English properly you’re prestigious in other peoples eyes. Our education system produces graduates who can’t wait to get out of the country and serve elsewhere, leaving the country lacking of human resources. It also can be seen in government policies that pleasing the international community always comes first.

yes! we should bring back the use of tagalog as the medium of instruction in school. the fools who thought otherwise are now experiencing the backlash of using english as the primary medium of instruction - braindrain and colonialism galore.
While young, the people should be instilled with the right idea of love of country, through a proper, nationalistic education

well, you also have a point because it's a really big debate whether filipino should be once again the primary medium of instruction in universities, schools and colleges.
the pro-english have stated their views and at the same time the anti-english.
english as the medium of instruction here in the philippines has already been implemented for many years already so it means that we are already adapted to it and changing back to the filipino can bring inconvenience.
i just recently searched in the internet that japan is trying to make english as the primary medium of instruction in their country because they believe english will be one of the factors to help them maintain and compete in the market.
maintain their competitive edge in exchange for their national identity? i don't think that the natives should adpat to the language of the foreigners in their own country
the national language should be intellectualized to become an effective medium of instruction
